Laura and I had some engagement photographs taken in early July as practice with our photographer for the wedding day. We had them done in and around the Mt Wilson observatory, which was a hub of astronomical observation in the early 20th century. Today, with the light from Los Angles making it less suitable for nighttime observing, it is mainly a historical and educational site, though some scientific observing is still done there.
In addition to being a functional observatory, Mt Wilson is the first of our 'six pack' of peaks from summer 2014 that led to our engagement. This unique combination of space science and hiking made Mt Wilson a great backdrop for our engagement session.
