January 9 (Thursday) status

We are in Anaheim and planning to stay at the hotel at least for tonight. The air quality is not too bad here, and still bad near Altadena. We've heard that the active fires are lessening in that area but it's still under evacuation and fully closed off. Hopefully we'll be able to return closer to the area tomorrow if conditions improve. We are working on insurance, canceling utilities, and figuring out how to move forward.
