January 22

Today we met the insurance adjuster at the site of our house. He took some photos and measurements while we were there, so we're hoping that the insurance process can keep moving along towards a resolution (at least on the structure part of it). Much of Altadena is still under a 'soft' closure, requiring a resident ID to enter. We were able to connect with some neighbors and friends and learn a bit more about the insurance process. We also finished replenishing the remaining prescription medications that were lost in the fire. 

Autumn enjoyed her daycare again today. Her normal daycare is continuing to remediate the wind and smoke damage, and is still hoping to open soon. Autumn is looking forward to seeing more friends on a daily basis. Laura's mom was able to connect donations of new toys and soft goods that be provided to the daycare to replace the ones they had to get rid of during the cleaning. 

We went over to friends for dinner, where Autumn had a great time petting their very fluffy dogs. Tomorrow, we will see if anything else needs to be done at the house before the expected rains this weekend.
