January 14 (Tuesday) update

Day two of isolating in the hotel, we are feeling better than yesterday but not back to 100%. At least we have been able to eat some solid foods. Thanks to some friends, we are fully supplied. We were able to have a detailed conversation with our insurance agent today and have a much better understanding of the policy. We've finished a preliminary inventory of our belongings, and now need to refine it and add details for the insurance claim. We've also gotten some preliminary information on potential rebuilding that will help us assess that choice. 

Our cats are still being cared for by our first hosts and Autumn is spending the night in her own bed (reconstructed from her toddler mattress and bed that we were in the process of donating). Laura's dad took Autumn to the park and to gymnastics, where she was able to get some donated leotards and meet with friends. Laura's mom made some progress on tracking down mementos from college, while William's family is looking at tax implications and tracking down mementos for Autumn.
